Description

A pure white cockatoo with upswept plain yellow crest.

Habits

Diurnal, Spends night in communal roosts, waking at first light to drink then scatter to forage. Towards sunset the birds congregate again at their roosts, flying in from all directions.

Habitat

Woodland Grassland Stone Country Forest Wetlands, Heavily timbered mountain ranges; open forest; inland waters and fringing forest.

Breeding

August September October November. 2 to 3 ; white. Both members of a pair prepare the nest. Incubation period 30 days. Parents care for the young for 10 wks in the nest, young remain with their parents for some time after fledging.
