Habitat

Wetlands, open swamplands of coastal and subcoastal tropical Australia; inland waters and fringing forests; floodplains.

Breeding

September to June, 2 (usually) cream with reddish brown markings.; Both sexes incubate the eggs for 28-30 days and young leave the nest within hours of hatching
